Two Frog- the power of encouragement

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit was, they told t he two frogs that they were as good as dead. The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died.

一 群青蛙在穿越樹林，其中兩個掉進了一個深坑。當其他的青蛙看到那個坑那麼深，他們告訴那兩個青蛙他們和死了一樣，沒希望逃出來了。兩個青蛙沒聽他們的話， 使盡全身力氣想跳出來。其他的青蛙一直對他們說停下來吧，不可能跳出來了。最後，其中一隻青蛙聽取了其他青蛙的說法，放棄了。他掉落了下去，死了。

The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time.

另外一隻青蛙繼續全力地跳著。再一次的，上面的青蛙群對他喊，別那麼痛苦了，放棄吧。而他卻跳得更有勁了，最後竟然跳了出來。他出來以後，其他青蛙問，「你沒聽見我們說什麼嘛？」這只青蛙解釋說，他是聾的。他以為他們從始至終一直在鼓勵他！

 This story teaches two lessons: 這個故事給了我們兩個啟迪：

 1. There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it through the day.

1，你的話有決定生死的力量。一句鼓勵的話可以讓落魄的人重新振作，讓他們重新面對生活。

2. A destructive wor d to someone who is down can be what it takes to kill them.

2，而一句消極的話足以殺掉一個消沉的人。

Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your path. The power of words... it is sometimes hard to understand that an encouraging word can go such a long way.

注意你所說的話。對你身邊的人說鼓勵的話。語言的力量...有時難以想像一句鼓勵的話會有如此深遠的影響。
