THE INTERVIEW WITH GOD
I dreamed I had an interview with God.
"So you would like to interview me?" God asked.
"If you have the time" I said.
God smiled.
"My time is eternity. What questions do you have in mind for me?"
"What surprises you most about humankind?"
God answered...
"That they get bored with childhood; they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again."
"That they lose their health to make money...
and then lose their money to restore their health."
"That by thinking anxiously about the future,
they forget the present, such that they live in
neither the present nor the future. "
"That they live as if they will never die,
and die as though they had never lived. "
God's hand took mine and we were silent for a while.
And then I asked...
"As a parent, what are some of life lessons you want your children to learn"
"To learn they cannot make anyone love them.
All they can do is let themselves be loved"
"To learn that it is not good to compare
themselves to others"
"To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness"
"To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in those they love,
and it can take many years to heal them"
"To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most, but is one who needs the least"
"To learn that there are people who love them dearly, but simply have not yet learned how to express
or show their feelings?"
"To learn that two people can look at the same thing

"To learn that it is not enough that they forgive one another, but they must also forgive themselves?"
"Thank you for your time," I said humbly.
"Is there anything else
you would like your children to know?"
God smiled and said,
"Must know that I am here... always"

我夢見我與神面對面地談話
神說 " 你想要訪問我嗎?"
我說 " 如果祢有時間的話"
神微笑了
" 我的時間是永恆的 你有什麼問題想要問我嗎?"

" 祢對人類感到最驚訝的是什麼?"
神回答說…
" 當他們是孩童時只覺得無趣而急於長大直到他們
再也回不了孩提時期了"
" 他們為了賺錢而賠上了健康…
然而卻花上所有金錢來找回健康"
" 他們對未來憂慮不安卻忘記活著的當下
因此 活在既不是現在也不是未來"

" 他們生活的態度就好像永遠不會死
而當他們死了卻好像從來沒活過"
神握住我的手 我們沉默了一會兒…
然後我問神…
" 就像一位父親有什麼生命的課程
如今祢想要祢的孩子們學習呢?"
" 學會 人們是無法使得任何人愛他們
人們唯一能做的是使自己被愛"
" 學會 將自己與他人比較是無益處的"

" 學會 饒恕是從原諒他人開始"
" 學會 深深地傷害他們所愛的人只需要幾秒鐘
而這傷口卻可能需要許多歲月才能被醫治"

" 學會 一個富有的人並不是擁有最多的人
而是最容易滿足的人"
" 學會 有許多深愛他們的人
但這些人只是尚未學會如何表達他們的感覺 "

" 學會 當二個人面對同樣的事卻有不同地看法"

" 學會 光原諒別人是不夠的
更重要的是還要原諒自己"
我謙卑的說 " 感謝祢抽空與我說話"
" 還有任何事祢希望祢的孩子了解的嗎?"
神微笑且說 " 必須知道… 我總在這裡"
